Qualifications and certificates
A diploma may have a supplement, grade record and later certification. Send what the university or receiving organisation requests and identify the final version. The translation conveys the original course names and marks; the relevant institution determines recognition or equivalence. A guessed academic equivalent should not be inserted into the certified text just to make an application look simpler.
Marginal notes and marked reverse sides may matter. A photograph of the first page cannot establish that the file is complete. An unclear seal, date or name calls for another copy. Names with diacritics require care; passport spellings or references in the receiving file can be considered without silently changing what the source says.
Powers of attorney and company records
A power may refer to a company, representative and authority described across several documents. Send connected extracts and attachments. Legal translation needs to preserve the scope of granted powers and the relationship between clauses. A Slovak institution should not be given the title of a Spanish body with different functions merely because the names resemble one another.

For internal reading of an agreement, translation services without formal certification may be suitable. For submission to an authority, establish the exact form requested. It may need only particular pieces, but selection belongs to the recipient. A quotation is based on the files in scope, not merely the broad label “power” or “certificate”.
Direction and use in Slovakia
Slovak into Spanish and Spanish into Slovak should be stated separately. Authorisation and availability are checked for the direction needed in Spain. If the translation will go to an organisation in Slovakia, ask it what certification it accepts. Spanish sworn status should not be assumed equivalent to the form required under another system.
A file may contain Czech, English or German pages. Identify each language and what the recipient needs. Similarity between Slovak and Czech does not make a Czech page a Slovak one or establish authorisation for a direction that has not been checked. Bilingual records may also contain extra detail in one version, so the content needs examination rather than assumption.
Signature and presentation
Certification follows the applicable rules for the authorised professional. Electronic signing may be possible where the proper method is used and the receiving organisation accepts a digital document. Ask whether it needs paper, extra copies or physical delivery. Printing a signed PDF does not make that printout the original electronic file.

Apostille or legalisation of the underlying document is separate. The recipient determines whether it is required and for which item. Send any existing authentication with the source so its wording can be assessed for translation. Sworn translation by itself does not replace a formality applying to the source record.
Preparing the assignment
Send complete scans, direction, country of use, receiving body, deadline and output format. Identify connected records and any established spelling of names. Legibility, annotations, subject, length and professional availability affect both cost and schedule. If a new version of the source is expected, identify it before the final translation is certified.
The sworn translation page explains the service and quality describes the checks. Use the quote form to send the files and instructions. Initial assessment can establish whether formal certification or a working translation best meets the actual purpose.
For a company transaction, a power and a registry extract may have been issued on different dates. Flag a later appointment or a restriction of powers in another attachment. Treating the pieces as unrelated could make a reference appear current when it only describes an earlier position. The professional preserves each source date and wording while keeping the relationship between records clear.
Frequently asked questions
Can a Slovak diploma and its supplement be translated?
Send both documents, marks and any reverse-side notes. The receiving body should specify which it requires and in what form. Translation does not itself grant academic equivalence.
Does a Slovak power of attorney need sworn translation in Spain?
That depends on the procedure and recipient. Send its instructions and connected pages. Direction and professional availability are checked before a sworn assignment is confirmed.
Can a Czech page be included in the same assignment?
It must be identified as another language and assessed separately. Linguistic similarity does not turn it into Slovak. Mark what the recipient wants and send the full set.
Is an electronically signed document accepted?
The available professional method and the recipient's acceptance must be checked. Ask whether a digital file or paper is needed. Printing a signed PDF does not reproduce its electronic-original status.
Does translation replace an apostille on the source?
No. Authentication, where required by the recipient, is a different process concerning the original. Include any existing apostille so its wording can be assessed where translation is requested.
