Translation services across the Community of Madrid

You can request a translation from Madrid city or any other municipality in the Community of Madrid by sending us a complete, legible file. We will examine the document, language direction and intended use before confirming a quotation. An initial assessment does not depend on a meeting or on the existence of a branch in your town.

Translation services across the Community of Madrid

One process for enquiries across the region

Clients in Alcalá de Henares, Getafe, Leganés, Móstoles, Alcorcón, Fuenlabrada and elsewhere in the region can enquire about the same translation services. The document determines the specialist work required. A manufacturer preparing an instruction manual, a solicitor reviewing a contract and a graduate submitting a certificate do not need an interchangeable service merely because they live in the same area.

Tell us where the finished translation will be used. The receiving country may affect the target variety of the language, the terminology and any formalities. A Spanish authority may ask for something different from a university or company abroad. If you need a live conversation interpreted as well, make that a separate part of the brief: written translation does not cover spoken meetings.

Business and specialist documents

The Madrid region includes many kinds of organisations, but a company's industry alone does not tell us what is in its file. Technical translation may suit maintenance instructions and specifications. Legal translation may suit an agreement or corporate record. A patient consent form calls for medical translation and careful identification of the audience. Send a representative sample so the work can be assessed on its contents.

An app or international website may require localisation of its interface as well as longer pages. Content can break when a button is too narrow or a form label changes meaning outside its original context. If you already have translated material, consider whether translation review against the source would address the problem. Starting again may be unnecessary until the existing text has been examined.

Documents for authorities

If you are filing a certificate, deed or academic record, check whether the recipient requires sworn translation. A legible scan may be enough for us to assess the initial request, but the final presentation is governed by the particular procedure. Ask whether the authority accepts an electronically signed document, requires a paper copy or wants the source document apostilled or legalised. These requirements are not identical.

Specify both the source and target languages. The phrase “translation of English” can refer to two different directions. If several documents form part of one application, indicate which need formal certification and which do not. We can then establish the scope without applying an unnecessary formality to every page.

Sending files and receiving the work

Editable documents help us assess tables and layouts. If you have only a paper original, make clear images in page order and include the reverse of any sheet with writing or stamps. An incomplete photograph can change the extent of a sworn translation. If a new version becomes available after quotation, tell us before confirming the assignment.

Physical delivery should be planned with the translation deadline. Give us the destination and the date by which the package must arrive, not just the day on which the text must be finished. Shipping cost and time can then be considered in the proposal. If you would prefer a meeting or need to hand over paper, explain the requirement so the available arrangements can be checked. Our quote form is the starting point for these requests.

A quotation for the actual file

Price depends on the text, specialist subject, language direction, format and schedule. Sworn certification, review or multilingual typesetting can alter the scope. Browse the languages pages to help describe your needs, then send the document for a specific proposal. You can also return to the Madrid translation agency for an overview of the services.

Frequently asked questions

Can I request translation outside Madrid city?

Yes, send us the files and the details of your assignment from elsewhere in the region. An initial assessment can be carried out from a complete digital copy. Tell us if physical delivery or a meeting is relevant so those arrangements can be checked.

Must I visit in person for a sworn translation?

We can normally assess a legible digital copy first. The receiving authority decides how the completed translation must be presented. Check whether it permits an electronically signed file or asks for paper.

Can the finished translation be sent to another town?

Provide the destination and deadline before agreeing the quotation. Where paper is necessary, the delivery method, cost and shipping time need to be considered. A digital deliverable may follow a different process.

What if I only have photographs?

Include every page and any reverse side with content. Make sure numbers, annotations and stamps are readable. If an image is incomplete, we may need a better copy before confirming the work.

Does the price depend on my municipality?

The place from which you enquire does not by itself determine translation cost. The language combination, text, deadline and form of delivery matter. Shipping paper may add a separate cost.

Need a translation?

Send us the assignment details and we will prepare a proposal for the service.
