From digital file to submitted record
Clients often receive PDFs, downloads and images from a platform. We need to know which is the final record and what forms part of it. Send full pages, visible signatures, annexes and references linking related items. A screenshot can cut off a number or note the recipient expects to see. If the file points to content not displayed in the image, explain that before scope is agreed.
A partial copy cannot be treated as a complete transcript. An unreadable area calls for a better source. Nor should an official-looking PDF be assumed to satisfy a Spanish body's submission rules by itself. The recipient decides which original, copy or proof it accepts; the translation reflects the material actually supplied for the assignment.
Personal certificates and company records
Civil documents, academic records, powers of attorney, extracts and agreements can be assessed. A certificate may have annotations and issue dates relevant to the procedure. A company file can include an extract, appointment and power, each with separate references. Legal translation preserves the role of appointments and clauses without assigning a Danish institution the powers of a similarly named Spanish body.

Translation services without formal certification may suit correspondence or contracts used internally. For a registry, court or other organisation, send its instructions. An official source document does not automatically call for sworn translation in every use. The receiving body and procedure determine the required form.
Danish-Spanish direction and use abroad
State whether the source is Danish and the target Spanish or the reverse. Authorisation and availability are checked for the particular direction. If the result is to be submitted in Denmark, ask the Danish organisation which form it accepts. A translation certified under the Spanish system cannot be presumed to satisfy every foreign procedure.
A Danish communication may have English annexes. Mark the items the recipient wants translated. An English summary is not necessarily an identical official version of the Danish. It may be a useful reference if its origin is clear, but certification must identify the actual source file and languages within scope.
Signature and delivery form
The professional certifies and signs under the applicable framework. Electronic signing may allow digital delivery if the corresponding method is used and the recipient accepts the file. A printout of a signed PDF should not automatically be presented as the original electronic document. Specify paper, extra copies or dispatch requirements so availability and timing can be assessed.

Apostille or legalisation of the underlying record is separate from translation. Ask the recipient whether authentication is needed and on which item. Include any existing apostille and check whether its wording must be translated. Neither the translator's signature nor the translated text itself replaces a source formality performed by another authority.
Quotation for the whole set
Send complete PDFs or legible scans, direction, receiving body, country of use and deadline. Identify the final download where several versions exist. Tell us about the required medium and attachments yet to be added. Length, seals, tables, source quality and professional availability shape the proposal after review. Counting files alone cannot provide a dependable estimate.
The sworn translation page covers the service, while quality describes checks. Use the quote form to send the records and recipient's requirements. If a working translation is needed before deciding which items to submit, identify it separately from final certification.
If a Danish record is accompanied by a separate explanatory letter, identify whether the receiving body wants both translated. A reference in the letter may explain the number or issue date in the main certificate. We assess them together for consistency but keep their separate origins clear in the deliverable.
Frequently asked questions
Can a Danish certificate downloaded as a PDF be translated?
Send the complete file and the receiving body's instructions. We check for connected annexes, signatures and references. Scope follows the version you will submit.
Is a screenshot from a Danish platform sufficient?
That can only be assessed after seeing it. If dates, numbers or content are cut off, we ask for the full file. The recipient decides which copy or record it accepts.
Can a Spanish record be sworn-translated into Danish?
Direction and professional availability are checked for the assignment. For use in Denmark, the Danish body must specify which certification it accepts. Spanish status does not guarantee acceptance there.
Is an electronically signed file possible?
That depends on the professional's method and the recipient's acceptance. Confirm whether it requires electronic delivery or paper. Printing a signed PDF may not preserve its electronic-original properties.
Is apostille arranged as part of translation?
It is a separate requirement of the source where requested by the recipient. Check which record needs authentication and supply an existing apostille. Its wording can then be assessed for translation.
